The new DS 500 intelligent chart recorder takes real-time monitoring and controlling of air and gas systems to a new level. Launched by CS Instruments at the Hanover Messe this year, the IP65 wall or panel mounted system is able to accommodate up to 12 different sensors with automatic sensor recognition. Installation and set up is easy with internal power supply to the sensors to save time and money during the installation phase.
All measured values, curves and threshold events are displayed on a screen and tracked with viewing of the tracking history made by sliding a finger across the 180 mm colour screen. The system also displays the plant layout and shows sensor locations alongside the measured values.
The supplied CS software generates daily or monthly air or gas consumption reports with costs to make tracking really simple; internal department billing for compressed air usage has now become a real easy possibility. Alarm signals can be dispatched via SMS or e-mail to alert relevant personnel should consumption or energy usage stray out of limits.
The versatility of the DS500 allows it to take the entire range of CS sensors including:
* Air or gas flowmeters.
* Dew point sensors.
* Pressure sensors.
* Clamp on ammeters.
* PT 100 or 1000 temperature probes.
Third party sensors can also be accommodated.
When required, the statistics can be exported to a PC by means of a USB stick and then printed without any additional software. Network compatibility and remote data transmission via Ethernet make the DS500 an energy tracking tool of note.
