The touch panels are integrated into the control cabinet and give the operator information about prevailing operating data and readings, such as stroke rate, suction pressure, discharge pressure pulsations, hydraulic and gearbox oil temperatures or the condition of hose-diaphragms and check valves as well as possible resultant losses of flow and efficiency.
Late recognition of wearing check valves can result in extreme damage and wasted energy; now, by means of web services and diagnostic systems, such failures are easily detected in time. The system also makes a noticeable contribution to the reduction of energy costs through efficient optimisation of the operating point.
Whilst the electrical section of the pumps has so far been designed for low voltage, Feluwa will also supply medium voltage motors and variable speed drives in the future.
Moreover, variable speed drives in which several triplex units are planned to pump into the same main, will be provided with incremental control systems in order to reduce energy loss and vibration of the piping.
