Static discharge and cleaning for moving surfaces

Exair’s new Super Ion Air Wipe provides a uniform 360° ionised airstream that clamps around a continuously moving part to eliminate static electricity and contaminants. It is ideal for removing dust, particulates and shocks on pipe, cable, extruded shapes, hose, wire and more.

The air wipe uses a small amount of compressed air to entrain high volumes of room air. Two ionising points powered by a UL listed 5 kV power supply fills the airstream with static eliminating ions. This airflow attaches itself to the surface of the material running through the air wipe and is effective for many metres from where it is mounted. The force of the air wiping action can be controlled with an optional pressure regulator. Higher pressure produces a more forceful wiping action and is most effective for high-speed processes and over long distances.

The Super Ion Air Wipe has an aluminium construction that is lightweight and easy to mount using the tapped holes provided. Two sizes include 51 mm diameter that has an air consumption of 30 SCFM and a 102 mm with an air consumption of 50 SCFM when powered at 5,5 bar. There are no moving parts to wear out.
