Siemens' new Sitop power supplies

Siemens has added to its Sitop Smart and Sitop Compact power supply families. Compact, efficient and powerful are the three key features of the new three-phase Sitop PSU300S power supplies and the single phase Sitop PSU100C device versions. The narrow footprint of the power supplies ensures a small mounting area and because of their high efficiency, the new models consume less energy and generate less waste heat than comparable devices on the market.

The Siemens Sitop Smart power supply line has been extended by two new versions of the Sitop PSU300S power supply for three-phase mains connection. To the already available supply with a 20 A rated current, the new versions offer 10 and 40 A rated outputs. The power supplies are optimised for standard requirements in automated machines and plants which require a stabilised direct voltage of 24 V. The high-performance units can deliver 1,5 times rated current for five seconds during the start up of loads with a high current demand. An integrated signalling contact enables a controller to evaluate the operating state of the power supply as a ‘24 V OK’ condition.

Three higher-output versions of the single phase Sitop PSU100C power supply have also been added to the Sitop Compact power supply range. The two 24 V versions supply 2,5 and 4 A rated output currents respectively, the 12 V version has been designed to deliver a 6,5 A rated output current. The new Sitop supplies are suitable for decentralised use in the lower power range up to 100 W such as installation in switch boxes and small control cabinets. Like other models in the series, the new DIN rail devices are characterised by high efficiency and wide input range for connection to single phase alternating current networks with voltages of 120 and 230 VAC, or to direct voltage networks with voltages between 110 and 300 VDC.
