New design makes Spirax Sarco’s smart digital positioners leaner and greener.
Spirax Sarco’s efficient new SP400 and SP500 positioners help users to reduce energy consumption. These smart digital positioners consume approximately 1% of the air of a traditional electro-pneumatic positioner and have low impedance helping to save on controller power.
For many instrumentation users the complexity of some digital valve positioners can be frustrating when only basic features are needed. The new SP 400 model is Spirax Sarco’s response to the markets need for a simple, easy-to-use digital smart positioner. It has a very simple menu system and can perform an auto-stroke calibration at the press of a button for reduced commissioning time.
The SP500, a smart digital positioner with retransmission, software switches, a separate 24 VDC power supply, communication protocols and diagnostics, has been introduced for users who require more functionality.
Both ranges have been manufactured using minimum components and housed in an enclosure designed to improve serviceability and to resist accumulation of debris. This has resulted in a size and weight reduction as well as improved reliability.
