Modbus data gateway series

Advantech supplies the EKI-1220 Modbus data gateway series featuring one, two or four fast RS232/422/485 serial ports and two Ethernet ports. The gateways support Modbus RTU/ASCII master and slave modes simultaneously with high-speed data transfer rates and dual LAN redundancy.
The EKI-1220 series provides 921 kbaud speeds and is designed to fulfill any master/slave requirements. The devices support 16 TCP masters and 16 TCP slaves and each serial port supports up to 31 RTU/ASCII slave devices. Dual Ethernet ports allow the series to establish two separate Ethernet connections so that if one of the connections is broken, the Modbus gateway will switch to the other connection automatically.
The series has built-in dual power inputs (12-48 VDC) with one power fail relay output to detect power operation status and ensure reliable operation. Like other members of the EKI industrial Ethernet family, the data gateways are built in a thin, compact DIN-rail mount form factor with an IP30 metal housing. 3000 V surge protection is provided on the power lines and 4000 V ESD protection on the Ethernet ports. The operating temperature range is 0-60°C.
