ifm electronic’s latest efector gwr microwave sensors are distinguished by better performance and extended application possibilities. The three new versions of the level sensor feature flexible and easy mounting, and they can be used in aqueous media, coolants, cleaning solutions or oils. ifm electronic offers the efector gwr with two (LR700) or four (LR8000) switching outputs or with switching and analogue output (LR3000).
The modular sensor system consists of the sensing head, probe and optionally, the coaxial pipe. The microwave pulses are transmitted by the sensor head and guided along the probe. If the microwave pulse hits the medium to be detected, it is reflected and evaluated by the sensor. The sensor is installed in the tank and users can shorten the probes and thus adapt them individually between 100 and 1600 mm. The coaxial pipe is required for the unit to function correctly in low dielectric media.
Setting is done via a convenient parameter menu and the 4-digit alphanumeric display continuously shows the latest level.
