The versatile range of general-purpose 19-inch rack cases from Verotec has been extended with the addition of 4U, 5U and 6U heights. Available in depths of 250, 350 and 450 mm, the cases enable a wide range of electronic, electric and electromechanical equipment to be mounted in a standard 19-inch enclosure. The modular design enables the units to be configured to the exact requirements of a particular application, with the specifier generating a single order code to define the unique product.
By using a simple code generator, the user can specify the required height and depth, a choice of vented or unvented top and base covers, specify a 3 mm clear anodised or 2 mm black painted steel front panel and either grey or black front handles if required. The units can be supplied with or without a rear panel and all sizes are fitted with mounting points for optional slim-line telescopic slides. To ensure that heavily loaded cases are properly supported, chassis runners rated at 50 kg are available as optional extras.
Also available are 1U EMC versions in 250 or 350 mm depths. Manufactured from aluminium extrusions with interlocking aluminium top and bottom covers, they give excellent attenuation performance, making them suitable for applications such as broadcast, datacoms and networking where good EMC is required.
