ÖLFLEX Robust

July 2010 Enclosures, Cabling & Connectors

Black, flexible and virtually indestructible.

ÖLFLEX Robust is the control and connection cable which is simply scuff proof. In more precise terms the cable is resistant to water, oil, grease, chemicals and fluctuations in temperature and can withstand all these external influences time after time. The black outer sheath makes it UV, radiation, temperature (up to 80°C) and humidity resistant.

Many cables around the world are made from an outer sheath that is manufactured from PVC, PUR and rubber. ÖLFLEX Robust is not produced using any of these. It is made from P4/11, a high tech compound developed by the Lapp Group in its laboratories and tested under the harshest conditions.

Applications

The outstanding characteristics of this cable make it very versatile. The following are a few examples of where it has been used:

* In vegetable, synthetic and mineral-based fats, waxes and where oils are used.

* In the process of water, sewage water and hot water containing fat solvents.

* In machine tools for metal working and in washing plants.

* In conditions where the cable will be exposed to heat, wind and weather.

* In all types of machines used for building materials, lifting gear, conveyors, compost and sewage plants.

ÖLFLEX Robust 200 – the robust all-weather service cord with improved chemical resistance

ÖLFLEX Robust 200 is the flexible control cable version with colour coded cores. It has a nominal voltage classification of 07 (450/750 V), is available with two to seven cores and offers a range of conductor sizes from 1 to 35 square millimetres.

ÖLFLEX Robust 210 – the robust control cable with improved chemical resistance

ÖLFLEX Robust 210 is the flexible control cable version with number coded cores. It has a nominal voltage classification of 05 (300/500 V), is available with two to 50 cores and offers a range of conductor sizes from 0,5 to 2,5 square millimetres.

ÖLFLEX Robust 215 – the shielded all-weather control cable with improved chemical resistance

ÖLFLEX Robust 215 is the screened flexible control cable version with number coded cores.

It has a nominal voltage classification of 05 (300/500 V), is available with two to 24 cores and offers a range of conductor sizes from 0,6 to 2,5 square millimetres. Screening is provided by a tinned copper braid. Epic DA-VINCI connectors can be supplied to complement the cables in harsh applications. This thanks to their rugged powder coated aluminium housing and clip mechanisms.
