In the valve industry market, a need regarding control and shut-off valves was identified, especially in the mining slurry industry. Ragon says that its valve, called RagMax 2000 is a South African designed world leader.
Previously it was virtually impossible to do control with the traditional diaphragm type valve used and plant overhaul control suffered from this. In today's demanding market, this means money and larger profits. Ragon Industries designed a valve at about 10% of the weight of traditional valves and still price competitive with an inherent linear characteristic for excellent control.
These valves make use of replaceable pecu lines that will last up to four times longer than ordinary urethanes in slurries, combined with RagMax 2000 coatings at 1400 HV.
Ragon believes that this is a near perfect combination of hard and soft in the valve industry, with excellent results achieved in real live tests.
