With the Sinamics BOP-2 (Basic Operator Panel) the Siemens Drive Technologies Division has brought a new version of its operator panel on the market. The clear menu structure and the two-line display speed up the commissioning of Sinamics G120 frequency inverters.
The BOP-2 supports both newcomers and drive experts in the commissioning and diagnostics of standard Sinamics drives. Basic commissioning can be carried out using the simultaneously displayed parameters and their values as well as the parameter filtering function, without having to print out a parameter list. A basic commissioning wizard is already preinstalled. With the BOP-2 a maximum of two status values can be continuously monitored at the same time, enabling the causes of errors to be detected quickly and downtimes to be minimised. The user can choose between automatic and manual mode and use the Sinamics BOP-2 for local manual operation of the drives. Manual control is carried out via directly assigned navigation buttons. The panel is either mounted on the control unit of the inverter or installed in the control cabinet door (degree of protection IP55/UL Type 12).
