Magmeter for higher flow rates

Now available from ifm electronic are larger versions of the company’s SM Series Magmeter launched last year. These magnetic inductive flow meters are designed to detect the flow rate of conductive media and can now measure flows of up 50 l/m (SM7 series) and 100 l/m (SM8 series). The mechanically robust units are designed for in line mounting to provide compact installation in process control applications.

The SM sensor offers a 4-digit numeric display with eight integrated LEDs that together indicate the flow rate, total volume, and temperature of all conductive media. Simple pushbutton programming quickly establishes application parameters and the flow meter can be set up to provide a switching, analogue or pulsed output.

The units offer high accuracy with a response time of less than 0,15 s and a repeatability of ±0,2%. Electrical connection is via an M12 connector.
