As part of a refurbishment project of the water treatment plant at one of the country’s major power stations, OMSA is supplying over 350 SED diaphragm valves valued in excess of R4 million. Boiler water quality is critical in this industry; which requires equipment to provide technical excellence as well as economic viability to guarantee maximum ROI and plant availability.
The industrial valve range offered by SED Flow Control is corrosion and erosion resistant and particularly well suited to the ion exchange processes used in this water treatment plant. Production is in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard allowing the requisite guarantees and certification to be provided with every valve. Some of these are manual and some automatic with all incorporating polypropylene lined steel bodies of higher specification than the current installation.
Imported from Germany, the valves are supported locally by OMSA with 24/7 back-up and service.
