When transmitting analogue signals, in many applications a high number of channels must be accommodated in an extremely restricted space. Abstract
Analogue signal transmission is an integral component of many production processes in industrial automation. Due to electromagnetic interference and differences in potential that frequently occur in this environment, standard analogue signals are easily distorted. These signals include, for example, current signals and especially voltage signals – such as 0-10 V. As a consequence, production processes can grind to a halt and electronic components can even be destroyed. In order to avoid events such as these, isolation amplifiers are used, which, depending on the application, isolate, amplify, filter and convert analogue signals. With its family of Mini-Analogue products, Phoenix Contact provides a series of isolation amplifiers for these types of applications that offer a vast spectrum of advantages that facilitate fast, error-free and cost-effective installation.
