MXD70 – compact, flexible and precise.
The MXD70 series is a microprocessor controlled, multiparameter instrument available in panel and surface mount options. The units can be installed with a user selectable combination of up to three sensor input cards, allowing the instrument to expand to suit process requirements. The plug-and-play method of adding input and output cards combines with an intuitive menu screen that guides users easily through the set up procedure to simplify installation and operation. The MXD70 can accommodate up to three sensor inputs installed in any combination of the following parameters, with independent temperature measurement on each channel:
* Contacting conductivity.
* Electrodeless conductivity.
* pH/Redox.
* Dissolved oxygen.
The base models, MXD73 and MXD75, come as standard with two programmable relay outputs and a single configurable 0/4-20 mA current output. A choice of user add-in plug-and-play cards makes it possible to increase the number of relay and 0/4-20 mA current outputs to suit.
Control functions
The basic units incorporate two relays, a single 4-20 mA output and eight digital inputs. These are all flexible and can be allocated to any measurement channel before being given an operational function. As the controller measurements increase so can the combination of outputs, allowing fast and efficient changes to suit process requirements.
If additional control/alarm relay and or 4-20 mA outputs are required, users can change the output card to increase the number of relay and current outputs. On power up the controller detects the additional hardware and allows the user to allocate the additional relay or current outputs to whichever channel they choose.
The controller has the capability to operate six relays (four change over and two normally open) with four current outputs. By reducing the number of relays the number of current outputs can be increased to six.
Applications
* Electrodeless conductivity/solution concentration measurement on the make up and return measurement on a CIP (clean in place) system.
* Reverse osmosis conductivity measurement on feed and treated water.
* Conductivity measurement for pure water measurement in mixed bed applications.
* Conductivity measurement in demineralisation and reverse osmosis plants.
* Conductivity measurement of pure water in power plants, biomedical and pharmaceutical industries.
* pH and Redox/ORP measurement.
* pH measurement and correction.
* Aerobic effluent treatment.
* Fish farming.
* Biotechnology and fermentation process measurement and control.
