RKC has introduced a new series of controllers designed to complement its existing product range. The RF series controllers were conceived as a replacement for the popular REX-S series and have been engineered to offer accuracy and reliability combined with the low cost of ownership associated with RKC controllers.
The units now incorporate a large dual LCD display for both measured variable and set point value, allowing easy to view display of both parameters at a glance. This same display is utilised when configuring the instrument for an application. Configuration includes sensor input type, accommodating most popular Thermocouple and Pt100 types, as well as required alarm action.
Enhanced PID control with either auto-tuning, self-tuning or manual-tuning options is another feature of this latest generation controller. This enables the optimum PID values to be set, thus providing fast control stabilisation in response to start-up and recovery from process disturbances and/or set point change.
Available in three popular sizes the controllers incorpor-ate a switch mode power supply designed to operate from 85–264 VAC.
