Profitek, one of SA’s leading suppliers of industrial communication products, can now offer users of multiple platform IT systems more functionality and mobility with its AdderView CATx range of KVM switches, A range of secure KVM via CATx switches that provide up to four concurrent local, remote or global users with BIOS level control of up to 24 multiplatform servers. The CATx is a high density fully featured USB, video and audio control KVM switch which offer 8, 16 or 24 computer ports.
Environments with multiple platform computer monitor networks – such as the mining, pulp and petrochemical sectors – can now toggle between computer screens eliminating the need for numerous keyboards and ancillary cabling and installations. The switches support resolutions up to 1900 x 1440 with DDC emulation. The range is also suited to applications such as professional server installations, industrial processes and office control. The CATxIP 1000 makes full enterprise grade functionality and quality available in a compact desktop format.

* Optional CD quality audio.
* Local users have the choice of PS2 or USB keyboard and mouse control. Remote users can be 300 m away from computers using Adder’s range of extenders.

The CATxrange is compatible with PC, Sun, Mac, RS/6000, Alpha and SGI computers using PS/2, USB or flash up-gradable computer access modules.
