Touch-free precision flow monitor

The construction of Honsbergs VD type flow monitors includes a magnetically controlled reed switch. The special feature is that the magnet, in contrast to many mechanical flow monitors, is controlled centrally and not from the circumference: a double ring magnet mounted on the piston senses the centrally mounted reed switch. This assembly contributes to a more favourable functioning of the magnet and to more reliable control of the contact with less hysteresis.

The position of the switch head connected to the contact can be altered by means of a calibrated spiral knob. By choosing the appropriate position of the switch contact the desired switching point, selected using the fine adjustment, can be read off the scale.

Using different materials such as gunmetal, cast steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and a wide range of connection options, the Honsberg VD devices cater for numerous plant applications in industry.

A variety of options can be chosen as standard, such as:

* NPT thread.

* Integrated temperature monitoring.

* Teflon coating.

* Optical display of the flow quantity.

* Diode display of the flow.

* Diode display of the temperature.

All the variants can operate at pressures up to 100 bar with selectable mounting options available.
