Recently introduced to the South African market, the DP-65 target flowmeter offers reliable flowmetering at attractive pricing. Designed as a basic flowmeter indicator, the DP-65 offers several advantages over using the more traditional variable area flowmeters since it can be supplied to measure flow in any direction and only requires six pipe diameters of metering length for correct operation.
The DP-65 is a wafer style design and can be used as a direct replacement for existing orifice plate and carrier assemblies since it fits between pipe flanges and is the same body size as standard orifice plate carriers.
A unique feature of the DP-65 is that it has a high tolerance for dirty fluids and can handle up to 15% solids content dependent on the nature of the solids. In addition the DP-65 can measure medium viscosity fluids, such as oils, having viscosities up to 400 centipoise.
Available in sizes up to 500 mm, each meter size is available in three capacities, giving a wide range of flow rates. Units can be supplied with transmission signals, totalisers and alarms if required.
Meter bodies are available in either steel, polyamide coated steel or 316SS, depending on the application requirements.
For larger pipe diameters a full line body version is available.
