CeBIT was held in Hannover, Germany, in March this year; there were more than 4300 companies exhibiting and more than 40 000 visitors. The South African pavilion consisted of 17 South African-based companies that showcased their products and services under the theme of: 'South African Software – power behind brands you know.' Adroit Technologies exhibited as a leading scada provider in South Africa.
With more than 12 000 seats internationally and 20 years’ experience in scada provision, Adroit used CeBIT as a platform to showcase its experience in the international market and a variety of industries. This gave the company an opportunity to meet with customers and establish international alliances. Adroit MD, Dave Wibberley, commented: “We are well known amongst our international partners and competitors, events like this help us showcase our products and services to up-and-coming markets, especially in the IT and telecommunications industry.”
By day the exhibitors worked hard to generate new business, and in the evening clients were invited for a taste of South Africa at the South African wine tasting stand.
Paul Geng, business development manager from Adroit managed the stand and noted: “The show was an excellent platform to showcase our products, especially VIZNET, our information portal solution. We also showed the software integration between our products and how they have added value for our clients and partners.”
