The GX200 from GIGAVAC is a 350 A RoHS compliant contactor with rated operating voltage up to 750 V (DC or AC).
The contactor uses GIGAVAC’s extended performance impervious ceramic (EPIC) sealing technology to provide a ceramic-to-metal seal rated that reduces the risk of fire or meltdown in over-current conditions. Using the EPIC seal design enables the GX200 to meet UL1604 for Class I & II, Div 2 and Class III for use in hazardous locations, IP67 for temporary water immersion for 30 min, SAE J1171 (external ignition protection) and ISO8846 for protection against ignition around flammable gasses.
The operating principle is based on high efficiency dual coils – one drops out after the contactor is energised – to minimise power consumption. A built-in power terminal safety cover (PTSC) has been included to assure safer connection without the use of metal fastening screws. The PTSC can be easily removed in applications where it is not needed.
Measuring only 70 x 60 x 80 mm, the GX200 sealed contactors can be mounted in any direction for use in solar, wind and vehicle battery operated systems as well light rail and other applications.
Stainless steel hardware and mounting inserts provide years of corrosion free service, and single pole double throw auxiliary contacts rated at 2 A are available as an option.
