Dosing pump control

Valves, Actuators & Pump Control
Many applications require small quantities of liquid to be dosed accurately. Conventional full-feature dosing pumps are often too sophisticated or expensive for these relatively simple jobs. In situations like these, the new NF 5 KTDCB-4 micro diaphragm pump from KNF FLODOS is an ideal solution. By using a 0-5 volt control-signal it is possible to change the motor speed and thus alter the flow rate from 5 to 70 ml/min. A linear speed vs flow curve is an indication of the system’s precision and repeatability. An integrated pulse generator enables the operator to monitor the motor speed of the pump, keep track of the liquid dosage and therefore calibrate the pump.
The new pump is equipped with a specially developed brushless motor designed for 10-28 V supply. The pump, including motor, is extremely compact (31 x 26 x 28 mm), has a long service life (> 10,000 hours) and requires very little power (approximately 1 W). It is suitable for pumping and dosing both neutral and corrosive liquids with a suction height up to 4 m. The device is capable of transporting media against back pressures of up to 1 bar.
For simple dosing applications, the new micro diaphragm liquid pump is an attractive alternative to classical dosing pumps and a perfect addition to the KNF FLODOS range. Typical applications include fuel cells, medical diagnostic instruments and cleaning and disinfectant systems.
