The Nex Flow Frigid-X airconditioner for control panels provides a low cost method for both purging and cooling electrical and electronic control panels by using a stainless steel vortex tube to create cold air from ordinary compressed air. Unlike other makes, it does not use cheap plastic parts in the vortex tube that can melt at high temperatures. The new design comes in NEMA 12 (IP52) and all stainless NEMA 4X (IP56) corrosion resistant versions.
With virtually no moving parts, these compact units can be installed in minutes through a standard electrical knockout.
Other advantages include: no CFCs; stable enclosure temperature and humidity; prevents heat damage and nuisance tripping, eliminates fans and filters and prevents dirt contamination by keeping the enclosure at a positive pressure.
