East Rand-based Impact Measurement Solutions now supplies the Wahl non-contact intrinsically safe IR thermometers with precision targeting. Heat Spy gives instant temperature readings up to 1760°C with high accuracy optical sighting and variable emission control of 0.20 to 1.00.
This rugged Heat Spy incorporates a precision telescopic sight with parallax compensation that allows operators to see exactly where the measurements are being taken. Readings can be taken off most materials, including opaque surfaces; there is a built-in emissivity adjustment for measuring metals, oxides and alloys. The instrument allows measurement of opaque objects through thin films of polyethylene and polypropylene of less than 20 mm.
Applications are for general high temperature thermometry and glass surface measurement, tempering, annealing, forming, sealing, laminating and bending.
