Spirax Sarco has introduced the new DCV8 stainless steel check valve designed to prevent reverse flow in pipelines carrying a wide variety of aggressive fluids, vapours, acids and alkalines. The new design incorporates an improved grade of stainless steel, an M8 earthing point for installations requiring electrostatic discharge protection and increased gasket face area that complies with the latest piping standards.
The improved grade of Austenitic stainless steel results in a higher quality product that has greater corrosion resistance for wider application usage, and the increased gasket face ensures compliance with the latest BSEN1514-1 standard.
The valves find application in boiler feedwater lines, multiplex pump outlets and protection of flowmeters and control valves, which are susceptible to damage by reversed flow. They are available in sizes DN15–DN100 with a choice of metal or Viton seats with or without spring options.
