The new ebro EBI 200, available from Instrotech, is the perfect companion for temperature-sensitive goods. Capable of monitoring and logging transport and storage temperatures of vaccines, medicine, blood and blood plasma as well as pharmaceuticals or chilled, frozen or deep-frozen food, this low-cost, compact electronic temperature indicator provides reliable proof that the cold chain has been maintained. If temperature limits are violated, it records the exact date, time and duration of the fault.
The unit is factory-programmed in °C or °F by ebro, to suit customer’s specified temperature and time parameters. Each device can monitor too high and too low temperature limits with preset measuring intervals. The temperature status of the consignment is immediately indicated on the easy-to-read LCD display: Either OK (all preset parameters have been observed) or NOT OK (a limit violation has occurred). Once activated, the EBI 200 has a battery life of up to two years and it is re-usable; it is simply reset to factory defaults using a password, and is then immediately ready for the next assignment.
EBI 200 has a temperature range from -35 to +60°C. Accuracy is ±0,5°C between -35 and +30°C, and ±1,5°C for the remaining temperature range. Resolution is ±0,1°C. The compact units measure 4 x 6 x 0,7 cm and weigh 16 g, ideal for use in the small packing spaces.
