Over 2000 suction gripper variants for vacuum technology
March 2001
Pneumatics & Hydraulics
Festo's systematic approach to vacuum technology has resulted in a modular development that offers over 2000 possible vacuum gripper combinations for applications requiring the delicate handling of parts of varying shapes and different materials. The new vacuum gripper programme is freely combinable, offering space savings, high quality and a long service life.
Suction cups are available in six different shapes, including standard, extra deep, bellows type with 1,5 and 3,5 convolutions, oval-shaped and a special profile for the automotive industry as well as 15 different diameters ranging from 2 to 200 mm. The cups are manufactured from a number of different materials including perbunan, polyurethane, silicon, viton, antistatic NBR and oil resistant thermoplastic.
The grippers are rounded off with holders of various lengths and with varying mounting and connector facilities, spacers, filters and a ball joint, which serves as an angle compensator. The modular design not only allows for unrestricted combinations, but also allows for quick replacement in the event of excessive wear or changing operating conditions.
Festo also offers a complete range of vacuum generators from a single source for the implementation of vacuum technology. These include vacuum generators with electric or pneumatic drive, highly integrated, with or without ejector pulse, vacuum switches and air-economy circuits as well as length compensation, EP converters and measuring transducers.

CT Hydraulics (Nqoba)
Pneumatics & Hydraulics
Those working with hydraulic or pneumatic systems know that keeping your machinery running at peak performance balances productivity and cost. As systems age, they often become less efficient, requiring more energy and more frequent repairs. The good news is that you don’t always need to invest in an entirely new machine to solve these problems.
