Adjustable LED lighting

In response to the growing market demand for large scale LED lighting applications Mean Well has released a new 150 W AC-DC converter. With a wide input range from 90-280 V a.c. the CLG-150 series features an active PFC function complying with EN61000-3-2 (harmonic current) class C for greater than 50% of rated output load, which fulfils the requirements of most typical lighting applications.

A key feature is the user adjustable output voltage and current levels. Users can adjust these settings without compromising the IP65/67 protection levels by removing the rubber stopper on the case or through the output signal cable - functionality which is often requested by LED system integrators.

The efficiency of the converters is reportedly as high as 90%, allowing them to operate in an ambient temperature range between -30 to +70°C with air convection cooling alone. Standard functions include short circuit, overload, over-voltage, and over-temperature protection.

Typical applications include general outdoor usage, LED streetlamps, mid-scale moving signs and backlighting, LED-based decorative/architectural lighting, LED stage and theatre lighting, and LED electronic displays.
