The Parallel Slide Gate valve from Valvtechnologies provides a bubble tight shut-off, a live loaded stuffing box, protected seats and a reliable and repeatable shut-off.
Sealing surfaces are coated with chrome-carbide hardcoating to RC 70 hardness and diamond-lapped for a precision fit. This exceptional hardness and temperature rating to 1000°C makes the valves extremely resistant to attack by abrasives and corrosive fluids.
In the full open position, the flow through 'conduit' is positioned precisely between the seats eliminating turbulence and flow impingement on the seats. Frequent valve usage actually polishes the surface for less torque and improved sealing.
Various flow control options are available, including a V-port orifice, making the valves ideal for warm-up and some by-pass requirements. Due to their low break away and running torque, various stem extensions are available, allowing handwheels and actuators to be located remote from the valve. The valves meet zero leakage requirements on low-pressure air and high-pressure water.
The Parallel Slide Gate valves are designed for ease of maintenance. The only requirement is for the disc to be flat against the seat. This is easily accomplished as there are no precise angles to maintain and the pressure seal bonnet has been designed to facilitate easy removal when necessary.
