June 2008 Flow Measurement & Control

The Honsberg Novaflux MH flow gauge indicates the actual flow rate using a flow scale that provides an accurate visual indication of flow conditions. The flowing liquid moves a piston in a brass guide-bearing against a spring. The visually distinct piston operates inside a calibrated sight glass for easy viewing.

The unit is housed in a robust, IP65 rated, aluminium housing and the internal piston is of stainless steel construction. A wide variety of options is available covering flow rates from 0,2–50 l/min and pipe connections from DN 8 to DN 25. Tolerance is specified as 10% of full scale and max media temperature is 65°C.

In addition, the unit can be fitted with an adjustable limit value contact that is connected directly to the measuring tube through a swallow-tail guide. This allows indication and alarm functionality to be combined in a single unit. The reed switch is rated for 250 V a.c. and 0,5 A.
