Electronic alternative to the mechanical pressure switch

IFM Electronic's new PP type pressure sensors are suitable for both hydraulic and pneumatic systems. The sensors can be adapted to suit the application requirements by simply adding the programming module, which can also be used for local display.

The PP sensors provide a long-term stability of switch points and are maintenance-free. Remote setting of the most important functions is also possible via the programming wire and the units can be mounted in sites which are difficult to access.

Housed in stainless steel, the sensors meet IP67 requirements and are pressure resistant up to 40 MPa (400 bar). They are also resistant to shock and vibration and have a 3 ms response time with a switch point accuracy of < 1,5 of the final value of the measuring range. The PP sensors have a M12 connection and gold plated contacts.
