Patch cable with protection

The DEHNpatch is designed for RJ45 connection with in-line surge arresting. According to DEHN it is the first patch cable that meets the Category 6 requirements of ISO/IEC 11801 and offers protection to EN 50173 for voltages up to 48 V. Suitable for new installations or retrofitting, additional protection for sensitive systems is easily accomplished by a simple cable exchange. Typically the cable is used in Gigabit Ethernet, ATM or ISDN and Power Over Ethernet applications.

The fully shielded cable is similar in width to an RJ45 socket outlet allowing multiple device installation in a single rack. A supporting foot is designed for DIN rail mounting, and provides safe earthing. For a single application, a section of DIN rail with a fixing device is included as standard. A mounting set is available as an accessory for multiple rack mounted units.

The device meets IP20 protection requirements and has a sub 1 ns response time. It is supplied standard with a 3 or 5 m cable, other lengths are available on request.
