Kracht, the manufacturer of transfer pumps, hydraulic motors, high-pressure gear pumps, valves, pump units, gear type flowmeter and electronics, has introduced a new gear pump to its range. The BT Niro was introduced at the Hannover Trade Fair in April 2007.
This pump is constructed of stainless steel, and can handle aggressive liquids while giving long, reliable service. BT Niro pumps are used typically in dosing applications to meter the amount of liquid dispensed. These liquids often contain highly corrosive substances, which attack conventional steels very rapidly. To counter this, the BT Niro pump housing, gearing and bearing material are of stainless steel, which has been chemically nickel-plated with SiC intercalation.
Testing has shown that BT Niro pumps are able to deliver long reliable service even in the most testing circumstances. After the pumps were stripped and inspected, no trace of wear and tear could be detected. After these pumps were cleaned and the packing was replaced, the pumps could be put back into service.
The pumps have a maximum operating pressure of eight bar, and have been tested under extreme conditions.
