New pressure module for calibration

February 2001 Pressure Measurement & Control

The Model 700P27 gauge pressure module performs accurate measurement up to 14,3 kPa (300 psi), with a reference uncertainty of 0,025%. With the addition of the 700P27, Fluke provides a full range of 29 modules for differential, gauge, absolute, vacuum, dual and high-pressure calibration for its line of eight pressure calibrators.

In addition, the company will now be specifying its full line of pressure modules per the Scientific Apparatus Manufacturers Association (SAMA) guidelines. "The decision to change how we specify our modules came after five years of production experience and customer feedback," said Rick Pirret, Marketing Manager of Fluke's Process Tools Group. "We had been specifying our modules more conservatively than other manufacturers of process instruments and calibrators. Now, customers can make correct spec comparisons more directly."

Pressure instrumentation is found in virtually every process plant. Periodic calibration of these pressure, level and flow instruments is required to keep plants operating efficiently and safely. Fluke provides a broad range of pressure calibration tools to help you quickly and reliably calibrate your pressure instrumentation. These pressure calibrators accurately measure pressure by using either internal sensors, or external pressure modules. Fluke currently has 29 different pressure modules.

A pressure source may be provided by a self-contained internal pressure pump or an external source such as an accessory pump or a pressure bottle/regulator. Fluke's family of pressure calibrators includes the 713, 716, 717 and 718 pressure calibrators, the 740 series of documenting process calibrators and the 725 multifunction calibrator.
