Digital level controller enhances performance in liquid level applications

This new multivariant HART-based instrument is for use with displacer level sensors, to measure liquid level, interface level between two liquids or liquid specific gravity (density). The device also provides for an additional RTD input for process temperature compensation.

The Fieldvue DLC 3000 Series instrument is ideal for new project applications or for upgrades of conventional pneumatic and electronic level transmitters, including the Fisher 2390. With HART-based communication it is easy to configure and to maintain.

Some of the instrument's key features include:

* Simple set-up and calibration: with the use of an electronic Set-up Wizard, the DLC 3000 instrument's start-up is straightforward and fast. Level and temperature alarms, specific gravity tables, calibration trim and trending are easy to configure.

* Reduces temperature effects: ambient temperature changes will not affect the performance of the DLC 3000 Series digital level controller. With a HART or RTD input signal, the instrument can also automatically compensate for specific gravity changes due to changes in process temperature.

* Responsive to small process changes: accurate high gain analog to digital conversion enables the instrument to measure very small changes in process variables, making it an excellent choice for difficult liquid level, interface or density applications.
