The new Ecolink cables from IFM Electronic have lock-in-place connections and are designed for extreme industrial environments. They are made to reduce machine downtime, increase productivity, and simplify installation. The cables are resistant to oils and coolants and meet IP67, IP68 or IP69K requirements. Their innovative LED design for status indication provides a bright LED display which is visible in even brightly-lit areas.
The lock-in-place nickel-plated brass coupling nut resists high levels of shock and vibration. It has a knurled design for manual fastening and a hexagonal shape for fastening with a torque wrench. The mechanical end stop has a special insert design to prevent possible damage to the Viton O-ring by over-tightening.
Lock-in-place technology of Ecolink cable
The connectors have gold-plated contacts with a 1,0 Nm pin extraction force. The high flex halogen-free PUR cable is rated for over 5-million flex cycles and is available in straight or angled versions in 2 m, 5 m or 10 m lengths.
Ecolink cord sets meet the M12 standard (the predominant standard as far as sensor and actuator wiring is concerned in the machine installation area) and they are suitable for use in the -25°C to 90°C temperature range.
