Terminal blocks fit automated assembly

WAGO PCB terminal blocks are now available packaged for automated assembly allowing for optimal through hole reflow (THR) processing.

Surface mount technology (SMT) has led to a rapid increase in productivity. By using high temperature resistant plastic, THR components meet the requirement for using this assembly technology. The company's 218 Series of terminal blocks is available in two to seven pole versions. At only 8,1 mm high, they can also be used in confined spaces.

These terminal blocks simplify the use of multicore cables, since the clamping point can be held in the open position using the integrated locking slide. This way, all the wire ends can be simultaneously inserted and connected reliably.

These products offer the advantages of additional cost reduction using tape-on-reel packaging for automated assembly as well as vacuum packing in automatic placing processes.
