Good reviews for KZN Exhibition

July 2007 News

The KZN Industrial Technology Exhibition ended on a high note with visitors streaming though the doors and exhibitors barely able to keep up. By the end of day three Kenny Gee from Promax Welding had this to say: "My catalogues are finished, my cards are gone, my factories will be running 24 hours a day next week. I have exhibited at Electra Mining and Hardex but this show is the best!" Peter Gow of Future Packaging and Machinery also gave the exhibition the thumbs-up saying: "On Wednesday we had the most enquiries we have ever had on a single day at any show in the country."

Visitors found a wide variety of solutions for various aspects of their businesses and a number of them commented on how worthwhile the exhibition was to visit.

7457 visitors came though the gates over the four days, with the largest number arriving on the last day. In fact the cold on one day and toyi toying public service staff on another probably meant that visiting was more concentrated on Friday than it normally would have been.

Stands were of a high quality with best large stand going to Iscar, best medium stand going to Craft Machine Tools, best small stand to VariSpeed and best outside stand to Criterion Equipment.

Exhibitions for Africa's commercial director said: "We were very happy with the turnout, the economy in KZN is booming. Judging from the number of quality leads exhibitors received, nothing can replace the power of human contact for establishing and maintaining business relations and exhibitions still offer the most effective forum for this to take place in."

Main sponsor, Trade and Investment KZN's Jonathon Naidoo, said: "We are again proud to be associated with this exhibition that offers so many opportunities to local companies."
