H3iSquared partners with Industrial Video and Control

July 2007 News

Industrial Ethernet and video company H3iSquared specialises in working in the harshest industrial environments. It has recently reached a partnership agreement with Industrial Video and Control (IVC). Along with this new international partner it now offers IP-based video solutions by combining high-quality cameras and software for managing networks of video cameras.

IVC seeks to supply cost-effective solutions to meet customers' application requirements. The company's Brendan Swart says: "The major benefits that H3iSquared can offer customers following this new partnership with IVC are a single integrated software interface, IP-based cameras facilitating integration and flexible communications, extensive experience with large networks of cameras and a high level of support and willingness to customise solutions."

The new product portfolio includes a full range of IP cameras and camera management software. IVC's Relay Server and View Station Software are designed to serve a broad range of customer needs. Since the system is totally IP based, it does not require the traditional CCTV components such as multiplexer, switches, DVR and controller and their associated points of failure. The software serves in place of these. The system is scalable from one camera to hundreds and is suitable for applications ranging from small retail stores to enterprise wide systems.

Key features of the camera system include extensive ActiveX scada integration features, a unique 'Click-in-Panorama' feature, the ability to manage large networks of IP cameras and the ability to seamlessly handle multiple Codec's (JPEG, MPEG2, MPEG4). The system easily integrates with existing CCTV installations, digitally watermarks saved video and includes advanced motion detection.

IVC has developed a line of special purpose cameras that includes an IP tamper-resistant wedge camera, an IP thermal pan/tilt/zoom camera, a Class 1 Div 2 certified camera, and an EMI hardened camera enclosure for sub-station utility use.
