A 6 mm wide two-pole modular terminal block with integrated surge protection for measuring and control equipment in industrial environments is available from Dehn. The Dehnconnect RK has five cage clamp spring pressure connections, allowing two lines to be protected, and equipotential bonding to the terminal equipment can be established. Due to the snap-in fixing device at the supporting foot, the device is safely earthed via the DIN rail. For reduced wiring, the jumper bars can be plugged into the protected side of the arrester to transmit signals.
Dehnconnect RK has a 10 kA (8/20) nominal discharge current and is available in two performance classes. The DCO RK M type is a surge arrester with energy coordination protection stages, while the DCO RK E (D) is a surge arrester with diodes only, for improving the electromagnetic compatibility of terminal systems.
In order to minimise the width, the enclosure is open on one side, and for protection against electrical shock, the arrester can be closed with a covering plate. If several devices are arranged next to each other, one covering plate could be sufficient.
Various models are available for use according to the LPZ concept at boundaries from 0B - 2 and higher. A wide range of accessories is offered and all types meet IEC 61643-21.
