Comtest, supplier of test, measurement and communications equipment and solutions from world leading manufacturers to the southern African market, has announced the formation of its subsidiary, Kikiza.
Comtest, in recognising the importance of black economic empowerment (BEE), has committed itself to the process of building a BEE company, as well as to attracting the right calibre of BEE partners. Kikiza presently has a 5% BEE shareholding, which in time, will increase to 26%. This has been placed in a BEE trust for future BEE staff.
Kikiza's focus will be in the specialist telecommunications arena. With the ever increasing complexity of network systems and the need to optimise them, Kikiza is able to offer a number of infrastructure, monitoring and management solutions from leading companies to the telecoms network operators and major communications users.
Suppliers represented include: JDSU (formerly) Acterna, Test-Um (a subsidiary of JDSU), ADC/Krone, Comtest Wireless, Envivio, Psiber, Data Networks; Midtronics, Radian Research, and COM10.
