Adroit Version 6 together with the smart UI interface enables management to view key performance indicators that have been predetermined at any point in time. The smart UI that is now shipped with Adroit Version 6 is built on the VIZNET framework and in this instance is licensed using the Adroit Agent Server. This new interface, according to the company, enhances the power, scalability and reliability.
Plant managers now have greater control and access over the data that is being accumulated. Management dashboards can be set up to show crucial information live on the manager's screen.
The primary purpose of the VIZNET platform is to provide a web enabled framework that has the ability to access data from a number of different data sources. The major advantage is due to the number of data sources that can be graphically represented at the same time. The data can be accessed and manipulated from one or more local, LAN or Internet clients.
The CAD type tools are provided for the design of graphic forms that contain a mixture of vector drawing and windows components for visualising and manipulating the data. This gives the user the ability to create a custom look and feel of the data that they require. Standalone operator environments then allow access to these graphic forms via a smart client application, across a LAN or even the Web if required.
The Adroit Smart UI has been specifically designed to provide features such as client side scripting, containment of ActiveX, standard .NET Windows controls, secure client connectivity over the Internet, integrated documents, data security, roaming profiles, improved CAD-like drawing tools, and the ability to display or hide controls and vector graphics.
An upgrade is also available to the full VIZNET information portal product. This product utilises direct connectivity to third party data sources via data connectors such as OLE DB and OPC.
