Impact Measurement Solutions, based in the East Rand, is now the sole distributor in Africa for the US-manufactured dataloggers from MadgeTech. Ken Falconer, who is well-versed in the MadgeTech product line-up, heads up Impact Measurement Solutions.
A new offering is a level recorder suitable for tanks, vessels, ponds and dams to provide a history of level fluctuations. The Level2000 operates by measuring pressure and is atmospheric pressure compensated to assure its resolution rating. The unit records and measures water levels down to a depth of 10 m over a user-selectable time period from 2 seconds to 12 hours for up to 12 months. The battery-powered recorder is of stainless steel construction and the probe is connected via a cable. Capable of accurately recording what happens to a water level over time, the MadgeTech Level2000 water level recorder includes software that provides customisable engineering units, realtime recording and alarming, including signalling and e-mail notification, overlaid graphs, and data and annotations that can be exported to MS Excel.
