The Austrian-based company, E+E Elektronik, has developed and designed a new air velocity transmitter, the EE75. This has been designed for accurate measurement of air speed and gas flow between 0 and 40 m/s.
The high-quality hot film sensor element is based on state-of-the-art thin film technology and guarantees highest sensitivity even at very low mass flows. The innovative construction of the sensing head reduces the impact of the mounting angle to a minimum on the measurement results.
The temperature compensation integrated in the EE75 allows for the influence of temperature on the gas velocity measurement to be reduced to a minimum. The robust metal housing allows the use of EE75 transmitters at process temperatures of between -40 and +120°C.
Beside the control of HVAC installations, typical applications for the EE75 range from laminar flow control and filter monitoring in clean rooms, to air handling cabinets in pharmaceutical, biotech and semiconductor industries, as well as compressed air systems and mass flow measurement in engine test stands.
