Torches meet ADR compliance

Wolf Safety ATEX Torches are suitable pocket lamps for the oil distribution industry - as they meet the ADR Equipment Compliance, which became a Statutory Instrument in the UK as the 'Carriage of Dangerous Goods and use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2004'.

These safety regulations, designed to protect individuals in vehicles transporting dangerous and inflammable goods, stipulate that each member of a vehicle crew must be equipped with a pocket lamp "so designed and constructed that they cannot ignite any flammable vapours or gases which may have penetrated into the interior of the vehicle".

The Wolf ATEX torch complies with such requirements and is already accepted by the hazardous area market as one of the most durable torches available. The T4 version, alkaline battery powered, offers great performance from a two cell 'flashlight', while the T6 model offers the highest levels of safety. The company also now offers a rechargeable version of the right angle torch, a powerful, lightweight product that is available with 4 W halogen or 3 W LED output elements.

Wolf ATEX torches manufactured by a company with nearly 100 years in the safety lamp business are being used by more than half the UK major fire brigades that use primary cell safety hand torches.
