Robust duct flow monitoring system

Bag plant systems suffer from periodic build up of dust and duct blockage. Monitoring of blockage can now be monitored on a continuous basis by the Codel 502 flow monitor. Due to the high temperatures and dust concentrations conventional methods such as pitot tube, vortex and ultrasonic are not suitable for the application.
The Codel model 502 flowmeter is well suited to the application as it is non-contact and can sustain temperatures above 850°C. The unit can be set up for any duct width bigger than 400 mm. Measurement is in ranges 0-1 up to 50 metres per second user adjustable. Built in features allows total volume measurement by entering the stack cross sectional area. The 502 also has auto zero and calibration according to US EPA 40 CFR 75. Standard outputs are 0-20 and 4-20 mA as well as relay contact where required.
The 502 can be integrated with the Codel range of dust monitors to give reporting of total mass dust emissions in kg/hr, tonnes per month etc. The unit 502 flowmeter is also available for integration into the Codel Smartcem emissions monitoring system for the complete requirements for gas and dust emissions monitoring. As the 502 flowmeter is non-contact and there are no moving parts maintenance is minimised to six months plus intervals. This reliable instrument comes with a standard 24 month warranty.
