Phoenix Contact is now offering its Quint Power 24 V/40 A power supply, expanding its range of single-phase power supplies for universal applicability in all industrial sectors. Their ability to run from 85 to 264 V a.c. and 120 to 350 V dc. makes them suitable for use around the world.
The output voltage can be adjusted freely between 22,5 and 29,5 V d.c. depending on the respective application. The power supply, with its Power Boost power reserve, provides output current of 45 A at nominal voltage and an ambient temperature of 60°C. This way, consumers with high start-up currents can be started without any problem. In the event of a short circuit in the consumer, secondary fuses react reliably to high levels of short-circuit current. In case of supply failures, full output power is available for more than 20 ms, thus ensuring uninterrupted operation even in unstable networks.
Clear LED signalling, a voltage-free relay contact, and an active transistor switching output are provided for monitoring purposes. To provide warning of developing problems in the plant (for example when power consumption increases as a result of dirt build-up) a signalling threshold is triggered as soon as the output voltage has dropped by 10%. This early-warning system ensures that production will continue to run smoothly. If increased performance or redundancy is required, the devices can be connected in parallel. The large operating temperature range allows for temperatures from -25 to +70°C. The dimensions are 240 x 130 x 125 mm, with a weight of 2,5 kg.
