Dupleix Liquid Meters (DLM) is offering ProRheo viscometers for laboratory use as well as on-site equipment in the form of a portable unit.
Easy to use and offering a wide measurement range, the model R180 is a traditional rotational-type viscometer operating on well established principles. Single point measurements for quick determination of viscosity at one rotational speed is possible as well as measuring with automatic measurement programs to obtain flow curves. Two separate programs are permanently stored while a further eight additional programs can be easily configured by the user.
The instrument continuously displays temperature, the measuring system in use, torque and shear stress, rotational speed and shear rate as well as viscosity. All the output data can be either printed or can be manipulated via interface to a Windows-based software on a PC.
A wide range of measurement systems manufactured in accordance with DIN 5301ff for standardised determination of absolute viscosity allow for viscosity measurements from 5 mPas to 540 Pas. Custom made measuring systems can be manufactured on request. Typical applications include coatings, food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, etc.

Editor's Choice Flow Measurement & Control
There are many processes where it is undesirable for the load to suddenly change quickly, for example in the paper industry. Examples of level control have involved reasonably fast tuning. An example of a level loop tuned this way and responding to a step change in setpoint is given.
