MTL Instruments has designed a redundant or non-redundant termination board (F606A) for use with the Yokogawa ALF-111 Fieldbus Communication module.
Field-side segment connections emerge via a shrouded multipin connector for use with NET9000 series power supplies. Cable assembly type FCAB-02, ordered separately, transfers the fieldbus signal and 24 V power from the multipin connector to the safe side connectors of four NET9000 series power supplies.
24 V d.c. power is provided via screw terminal connections and may be from single or redundant supplies. The 24 V is routed from the F606 termination board to the safe area terminals of the FISCO or FNICO units, via the FCAB-02 cable. Green LEDs indicate the presence of 24 V d.c. on the redundant power feeds.
Each segment has a fixed fieldbus terminator, which together with the host side terminator of the FISCO/FNICO power supply provides correct termination of the safe area segments.
