The new Version 4.2 of EPLAN PPE accelerates cross-departmental plant planning by re-using sub-projects. The new web browser concept and the extended foreign language translation function makes the system more open than previously. September saw the launch of the new Release 4.2, demonstrating the openness of EPLAN PPE, and its ability in integration.
A powerful solution for complex tasks
As an holistic system, EPLAN PPE supports the full spectrum of measurement, control and automation technology in process plant planning. EPLAN PPE offers a full range of features designed to maximise success, particularly with complex tasks. The innovative database management also supports various other features, including a multi-user function and project cost monitoring.
Flexibility
Where development of a project begins is entirely up to the engineers concerned, depending on their planning status. There is full freedom to select from the following modules and compile an individual system:
* EPLAN PPE - The full version of EPLAN PPE, with its range of functions, ensures optimum support during both the concept development and detailed planning phases, and meets all the requirements associated with the planning of process engineering plants through to the automatic generation of wiring schematics in EPLAN 21/EPLAN 5 based on the planning data recorded in EPLAN PPE.
* EPLAN PPE - Basic - Comprises a range of functions specifically tailored to the requirements of concept development in process engineering plants, which guarantees consistent project planning of the general plant structure through to detailed specification of the equipment.
* EPLAN PPE P&ID AutoCAD Interface - Provides a link between EPLAN PPE and AutoCAD (2000 + 2002) for the generation of schematic diagrams within the context of the concept planning of process engineering plants. Direct access to the EPLAN PPE project data and bidirectional data exchange ensures professional, consistent work results. (The same is offered for LOGOCAD TRIGA as well.)
* EPLAN PPE Detail - The Detail module of EPLAN PPE offers additional functions which support detailed planning based on the concept development data recorded with the Basic module.
* EPLAN PPE Viewer - Allows the users to view and navigate their way through plant documentation generated with EPLAN PPE, whereby all functions are made available on a 'read only' basis. Hence, this module provides an optimum solution for secure online access to all plant documentation stored in EPLAN PPE.
